Edition One: transcription of a manuscript in the Vatican Libarary: Cappella Sistina 375, made in 1892 by Domenico Mustafa (1829-1912) direttore in perpetuo of the Cappella pontificia.  Based almost entirely on Bai's Miserere - only verse 3 is Allegri's - it was for Mustafa clearly the ideal Allegri Miserere.

Edition Two takes as its starting point the work which in the earliy 19th centurey still had Allegri's name attached to it on paper, although the 5-part verses are Biordi's.  The ornamentation has been taken largely from a series of manuscripts from the 1820's.
