Funk Rock - Medium

This laid-back catchy composition is written in the Herbie Hancock "Maiden Voyage" flavor. The chart opens with a funk-rock feel and soon flows into a driving straight eight swing section. One can take the option of playing the entire chart in a funk-rock style. The chart is written around four minor chords giving it an exciting modal flavor. Improvisers will have fun improvising on these minor chords. After the shout chorus a drum solo brings the chart back to the funk-rock feel. This is a very playable chart. Trombone 1 is written in a reasonable range.
