Modern wind music in the style of the great Big Bands was the model for the composition Band Fever by Otto M. Schwarz. The piece features two soloists, saxophone and flugel horn. Rhythms such as Hip Hop and Double Samba support a catchy melody played by the full band. This forms the basis for the soloists' improvisations. This unique concert band work allows both soloists and conductor to display individuality and creativity. It is especially suitable as a light opening piece or as a feature number to display the great skills of your saxophone and flugel (or trumpet) players.
