Unique setting of the Finnish folk tune LOST IN THE NIGHT. Begins with plaintive organ introduction followed by a Tenor and Bass ostinato pattern under the melody. The second verse is in unison followed by an SATB a cappella third stanza. A choral descant on stanza 4 brings the concertato to a climatic conclusion. Highly effective for beginning an Advent service. Introduction and stanza 1 may be excerpted as a choral introit or prayer during the season of Advent.
