A wonderful big band approach to this patriotic song. Begins with a fully voiced chorale with trumpets in flugels. The remainder of the piece uses a "contemporary" straight 8th note feel, featuring Tenor 1 (or an optional female vocal soloist) as well as a trombone soli setting of the melody. A bug, full ensemble finish makes this the perfect "closer".Recorded by Ryan Haines Big Band on "New Horizons" on Sea Breeze Jazz.
